Director Logan Kibens approached MK12 to design and a UI | UX system for her film, but with a catch -- the designs not only needed to address key plot points in the narrative, but had to do so with emotion and purpose. To that end we developed a system that was heavily influenced by the character of the  protag-

onsit (Martin Starr) himself, as well as modern color and shape theory as applied to digital user experiences. It was a very rewarding project to work on, and gave us an opportunity to prove that UI design doesn't need to be cold and objective, or even linear. We also produced the main title sequence for the film.
