Based in Southern California, I’m an award-winning photographer with decades of experience behind the lens. My journey began at Kansas City Art Institute’s prestigious Photography dep’t (’94-98) before moving back to CA in the late ‘10s, where I’ve established myself as an exhibited culture & travel photographer.
My approach to wedding & event photography is a combination of formal technique and casual vérité-style documentation, capturing both intimate moments and their context. I aim to create lasting memories that are as personal as they are grand, immersing myself into an event and finding its story.
With a small arsenal of new & vintage gear to tell that story, I tailor every event to my clients’ vision. I’m also a licensed drone pilot and occasional videographer, and produce social & other secondary content.
And unexpectedly, my background as a credentialed car & race photographer gives me a sharp eye for composition and capturing action as it unfolds!
